The last few weeks of August mean that the new season is fast approaching and this means lots of organisation to get club ready to invite new players and returning players back.
We look forward to welcoming new players to our club and can guarantee a club that is friendly and support but still aims to be competitive.
We have already hosted 2 pre-season adult training sessions and had great turn outs of 22 and 23 people respectively.
The energy levels have been high and the standard of hockey already appears to be stronger than last season.
We have one final pre-season session next week before normal Thursday sessions resume in September.
U12 and U14 sessions have been extended to an hour and a half this season to give coaches more time to work with children and core skills, set plays and tactics and dedicate time to practice big pitch match play.
Adult/Senior Training will now start each week on the MUGA. This is to give our U14s more pitch space to practice with a full width pitch for longer.
We are also in the final stages of designing a new kit for the club with both new designs for Juniors, Seniors and a club away shirt.
These will then be available to order via a custom portal on our website.
Our partner company also offer items such as Jackets, hoodies and more for you to purchase.
More information will be shared on this as soon as final decisions have been made.
Due to the vast increase in our officiating to England Hockey, over £1500, we are having to raise our fees. The committee are coming up with final options and these will be shared with the club by the end of Pre-season (Please look out for further info).
If you have any further questions, please contact a member of the team.
We look forward to seeing you all at Mount Kelly Astros soon.
